ATTENDING FESTIVALS IS GOOD FOR YOU

festival visit

Research shows that attending festivals lower the stress hormone cortisol. Scientists from Centre for Performance Science in London have studied 120 subjects during their visit two festivals recently. Using saliva samples, the presence of cortisol was measured.

The tests showed that stress levels after the festival had dropped considerably. “This is the first evidence that attending events has an impact on the endocrine system,” said researcher Daisy Fancourd. However, it was emphasized that the type of music played could make a big difference. Quiet tunes will decrease stress over hard metal. Quite logical, we suppose.
