Forbes’ list of the top grossing Electronic artists of 2016 has been revealed, with some new additions from 2015’s list. Calvin Harris tops the list for the fourth consecutive year, with $63 million.
David Guetta amassed $28 million placing himself third, with ZEDD’s income taking him up four ranks at $24.5 million. The jump in the rankings has a lot to do with the DJ’s recent big-ticket collaborations with pop stars like Selena Gomez and Ke$ha, in addition to the deals from sponsors.
Surprisingly, Diplo and Skrillex got themselves in the second half of the top ten earnings list despite numerous multi-platinum records.
Martin Garrix and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike sum up the top 10 as the new entrants to the list.
The list has seen a decrease in the earnings this year indicating timely the bubble beginning to burst. As interestingly Calvin Harris’ income dipping with a slight margin of 1% less than last year, the first time since 2012 — a $3 million slump since last year, but still $25 million more than Dutch legend Tiësto, who sits pretty at the second place this year with $38 million.
